Left Las Vegas on the morning of March 7th, excited to hit the road for Blythe, CA, to visit my brother and sister-in-law. The drive was a breeze compared to the last leg, and I got to see some new landscapes along the way—always a bonus! I arrived well before check-in (again!), so I reached out to my brother to see if it was a good time to swing by. Thankfully, it was, and we spent hours catching up! The entire three days I spent with them were absolutely fantastic—so glad I made this stop!
After checking in that first night, I grabbed some dinner and found a meeting that turned out to be truly wonderful. The next day was mostly dedicated to work, but by 3:30 pm, I was off to my brother’s for an amazing meal and more quality time together. It rained most of the day, and I swear the rain was following me—because there was plenty more to come!
Sunday was a blast! I spent about three hours riding around the desert on a side-by-side with my brother. It was tons of fun, but wow—so much dust! I mean, what else can you expect from the desert? Afterward, I headed back to Blythe to tackle some laundry. Living out of a duffle bag is definitely a shift—gone are the days of waiting weeks to do laundry! Now, it’s every 4-5 days. The adventure continues!
