Las Vegas Visit – March 4th, 2025
Traveled from Boise, ID, to Las Vegas, NV, on Tuesday, March 4th. Arrived a couple of hours before check-in, giving me time to walk the Strip and take in how much it has changed since my last visit nearly 30 years ago—a lot has changed. Spent three days in Vegas, though honestly, a day and a half would have been plenty.
That said, the surrounding desert and mountains are beautiful, and I’ve always loved the scenery. But as an ex-Reno guy, I could never see myself living there.
Visited Fremont Street, which was neat, and I made my contribution to the local economy. I imagine if you lived there and stuck to your neighborhood, it might be alright, but getting anywhere seems to take 30+ minutes.
The smell of pot was everywhere—Idahoans, count your blessings. Overall, I’m glad I stopped but just as glad to move on.
